Monday, 15 June 2009 12:12 PMJAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Juliana Dharmadi and husband Kiki Kurniadi met Monday with the police at the Jakarta Police headquarters as the cops began to process their allegation that Omni International Hospital, Tangerang has blinded one of their sons, Jared.
"We came here (the police headquarters) invited by the police," Juliana was quoted by Kompas.com as saying
She said she did not report with the police a malpractice charge against Omni, but a negligence of its doctors.
Her twins, Jared and Jayden, developed an eye condition known as retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) which many medical institutions, including one in Australia, claimed was due to high levels of oxygen in the incubators.
Jared now has a detached retina and is blind, while Jayden suffers from a cylindrical eyesight.
